Sauti za Busara is a pan-African music festival centred in Stone Town, Zanzibar each year during February, attracting thousands of music-lovers from near and far. Organisers are preparing the 19th edition, to take place during 11th - 13th February 2022.
We encourage all artists playing unique music connected to the African Continent and diaspora, the Arab World or Indian Ocean regions to apply to participate. The initial line up will be announced in October. Highlights will broadcast live on TV and online platforms.
In the meantime, we are closely monitoring the pandemic situation at home and abroad. Our foremost priority is the health and safety of all local people and visitors. Sauti za Busara showcases quality live and original music from the African Continent and diaspora. Artists from the Arab World and Indian Ocean region are also welcome to apply.
Preference is given to:
Original music connected to Africa, the Arab World and Indian Ocean Women artists, or groups led by women Young, new and emerging talents Music with messages that are positive, relevant and useful to society Music that is performed '100% live'! Please ensure your application includes a recent biography, audio recordings (MP3), live performance video (MP4), quality photos and/or link to your Music in Africa profile. The festival selection committee will carefully consider all complete submissions received by 31 July 2021.
Early Bird Supersaver Tickets will soon be available online, with special rates for Tanzanian citizens, East Africa Residents and all African passport holders.

The Music In Africa Conference for Collaborations, Exchange and Showcases (ACCES) invites African musicians based on the continent to apply for an opportunity to showcase at ACCES 2021 in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 25 to 27 November.
